Rijssen athletics club’s talent team
Together with Harmeling Interieurs, we have become sponsors of the Rijssen athletics club’s talent team. This is a team of talented runners from Rijssen, Holten, Goor, Diepenheim, Wierden and Almelo. We are committed to contributing to talent development and this is a great way to do just that.
‘The partnership allows the team to take training to an even higher level and allows our athletes to better prepare for all the events they compete in,’ said Johan Lohuis of the Rijssen athletics club (Atletiekvereniging Rijssen, or AV Rijssen). And they have already had considerable success.
23 talented runners hailing from Twente now hold more than 80 club records. Regionally, they have achieved many podium finishes and several athletes are at the top of the Dutch rankings. With Dutch champion Sophie Willems and Stef Nijzink, they have two athletes who are at the top of the Dutch league, both indoors and outdoors.
The athletes of the Rijssen athletics clubs’s talent team are at the beginning of their sports career and are already delivering great results. Who knows, we might see them at the Olympics one day…
