Top medical technology talent contributes to future healthcare with Reggeborgh Research Fellowship

In partnership with two top hospitals, ZGT and MST, Reggeborgh Foundation has launched the Reggeborgh Research Fellowship. During this training programme, we give medical technology talent the opportunity to work on tomorrow's healthcare on a daily basis and to develop into complete professionals, both as scientists and as entrepreneurs. The development programme introduces them to the work field of our partners Reggeborgh, VolkerWessels and our Reggeborgh speed skating team, among others.

Technologically innovative research at ZGT

Dieuwke van Dartel and Jaimy Simmering conduct their research at the ZGT hospital. Dieuwke researches technological innovations used in frail elderly people with broken hips. These innovations are designed to optimise and personalise healthcare. Jaimy does research into pelvic floor problems in women using innovative imaging techniques. She is specifically looking at better imaging the effect of therapies and surgeries.

Predictions with artificial intelligence

Emilie Klaver and Mattiènne van der Kamp have started at the Medisch Spectrum Twente (MST) hospital.

Emilie conducts research on epilepsy at MST’s Neurocentre. Among other things, she is using brain signals and AI to investigate whether epileptic seizures can be predicted. Mattiènne is committed to children with asthma, researching whether healthcare for children can be moved to the home as much as possible. His mission is to minimise children's visits to the hospital so that they can participate as much as possible as children in society.
