Successful Ice Festival brings smiles to all
Together with 200 enthusiastic elderly and mentally challenged people, we closed the speed skating season in style.
Wheelchair skating, rollator skating, and other forms of adaptive skating; it all happened during the amazing Ice Festival at the Twente ice rink.
Stichting Goal organised the event and we were there as a proud sponsor together with our Reggeborgh Foundation partners DW Property, VolkerWessels, Reggeborgh Invest and colleagues from the Reggeborgh Research Fellowship and Reggeborgh speed skating team to make sure the day ran smoothly. Life stories were shared and the oompah band, pea soup and hot chocolate were thoroughly enjoyed. In short, fun was had by all.
We are particularly appreciative of all the care staff and volunteers who provide loving care to this wonderful group of people every day.
The day ended with a spectacular 100-metre sprint and a full-fledged honouring. Everyone left with a smile. Memories were made that will be talked about for weeks to come.
We are all already looking forward to next year.
