Marathon team Reggeborgh commits to special cause: first aid volunteers
This year, Marathonteam Reggeborgh is committed to charity: supporting first aid organisations and their indispensable volunteers. The skaters of Marathonteam Reggeborgh participated in a first aid course, served as an internship as a first aid volunteer during the YU MAN RACE and they rode in special first aid skating suits on the Weissensee. The worn suits have now been auctioned and the proceeds of €4,525.00 will be donated to the first aid associations. They will invest the proceeds in training young first aiders, because youth has the future.
The importance of first aid
An accident is in a small corner. At any competition, sports event or places where many people gather, first aiders are of great importance. Their quick and expert help in accidents can prevent worse and even save lives. Timely and correct first aid can ensure that someone stabilises until professional help arrives. Reggeborgh Foundation wants a healthy future for everyone and believes it is important that as many people as possible have knowledge about the correct application of first aid. This is why Reggeborgh's marathon skaters have committed to first aid several times.

First aid course for Reggeborgh's marathon skaters
In the summer of 2024, our Marathon team took a first aid course from EHBO Netherlands. They were able to put their knowledge into practice as enthusiastic first aid volunteers during the YU MAN RACE.
First aid internship during YU MAN RACE
First aid volunteers are present at almost all events. Festivals, football matches, but of course also at the ice rink. The Marathon team Reggeborgh is going to intern today during year in for first aid. Because they too know, without first aid no events are possible.
On the Weissensee in the special first aid skating suits
Especially for a skating competition at the Weissensee, our marathon skaters wore special first aid skating suits. These suits were auctioned and the proceeds will be donated to the Dutch first aid umbrellas.
