Kimberley Bos achieves World Cup victory with track record in Sigulda
On the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton track in Sigulda (Latvia), Kimberley Bos recorded her first World Cup victory of the season on Friday. The Dutch skeleton star managed to set a track record in the first run, giving her a small margin over the competition. Finishing eighth in the second descent then proved sufficient for the overall win.

Kimberley rises in World Cup rankings
Thanks to this victory, Bos moves up to third place in the World Cup standings, behind Austria's Janine Flock and Germany's Hannah Neise. The next race will be on 3 January 2025 in Winterberg (Germany), where Kimberley hopes to continue her good form.
‘My first win of the season. I’m happy to end the year like this. The first run went really well, I'm proud of that. And even though there were mistakes in the second one, it’s still a good performance. Sigulda is just a complicated track, but I feel more and more at home there.’
