Jennette Jansen successfully defends road race World Championships title in Zurich!

Following her silver success at the Paralympics in Paris, Jennette Jansen managed to successfully defend her world road race title at the World Championships in Zurich. With this impressive performance, she proved once again that she is still among the absolute best in the world.

Exciting final stage of road race 

Jennette crossed the finish line two seconds ahead of her biggest competitor, Austrian Cornelia Wibmer. It made for an exciting final stage of the road race. She completed the 38-kilometre course in 1h10’12”, thus renewing her World Championships title.


Switzerland's Sandra Fuher took the bronze, crossing the finish line 15 seconds after Jansen. On Wednesday during the time trial (18.8 kilometres on a flat course along Lake Zurich), Jansen had to settle for fourth place.
