Green Apple Jelle Snippe is to make his Olympic debut in Paris this summer
Jelle Snippe's dream is coming true; he has secured his ticket to the Paris Olympics. The Judoka heavyweight from Enschede will compete this summer and will have a chance to show the world what he has trained so hard for.
Last week at the World Judo Championships in Abu Dhabi, Snippe secured his Olympic ticket. Thanks to his excellent performance, long preparation and his 14th place in the world ranking, he secured the only remaining ticket to the Paris Olympics in the weight class above 100 kilograms.

It is his own strength and drive that have brought him this far. In 2023, Jelle made a big leap to establish himself among the world’s best with a Grand Slam victory in Turkey and a bronze medal at the European Championships in Baku. We are very proud to have him as our first ‘Green Apple’ to fulfil his dream at the Olympics. His matches will be on 2 and 3 August. We wish him well on his way to Paris.
